Today’s Living Social Deal: Cedar Restaurant in Gallery Place.

I was delighted that Cedar Restaurant located in Gallery Place (822 E Street NW) is the Living Social Deal today! I of course purchased one. The deal is 50% off food and drinks. $60 worth for just $30, or half price. I especially love the video!

Chef Andy Kitko takes his East coast and West coast training and brings it to Cedar where classical French technique meets ingredient driven sensibility to create contemporary American cuisine with natural, clean flavors and vibrant presentations that highlight the expressions of the seasons. Check out their menus. Andy Kitko’s eminent career has taken him to many top Michelin rated restaurants on both coasts, such as two of San Francisco’s culinary destinations, Aqua and Gary Danko, and New York City’s Café Boulud.

When asked what one can expect at Cedar, Kitko explains, “My vision for Cedar is ‘field and stream’ in a polished urban style.” Kitko envisions a contemporary take on country fare: roasts, game, sausages, salmon, trout, forest forage-berries, mushrooms, herbs, greens, and smoke. He will use the freshest of seasonal ingredients prepared thoughtfully and with great care, to remind us of the bounty of the great outdoors.

Fine Print: Limit 1 per table per visit • Dine-in only (not valid for takeout or delivery) • Not valid during restaurant week or for the fixed pre-theater menu • Other conditions apply • Promotional value expires on 01/26/11
