Volunteers with 4-wheel drive needed!

Due to delivering meals early last week, and an outpouring of support from the community and media today, not one of Food & Friends’ clients struggling with debilitating illness has missed his/her meals, so far, due to the winter storm.
With two feet more of snow predicted to hit the DC area, Food & Friends truly needs the help of the community to ensure that each of Food & Friends’ 1,400 clients receives the food so vital to their health on Thursday.
This Thursday, February 11th, Food & Friends needs 20 volunteers to deliver meals, especially those with 4-wheel-drive vehicles.
Please email Charney at chenderson@foodandfriends.org to volunteer.
Without Food & Friends, their clients likely will not eat, so your help is vital. Meals may be picked up from Food & Friends between 10 a.m. and 12 noon (219 Riggs Road, NE/Washington, DC); they will provide detailed delivery directions, and routes should take no more than 3 hours.
Thank you so very much for your support of Food & Friends!
