Free Pie Tasting: Today!

Slice of Life FREE Pie Tasting – Oct. 20th

On Tuesday, October 20th, Food & Friends is kicking off their Slice
of Life
campaign – a bake sale fundraiser to provide a pie to
complement the Thanksgiving meals provided by
Food & Friends
to DC area residents living with HIV/AIDS, cancer, and
other life-challenging illnesses with two FREE Pie Tastings.
Enjoy a piece of pumpkin
pie during your lunch hour plus the chance to win great prizes on Tuesday, October
20th from 11:30am – 1:30pm in two locations; Outside of the Marriott at Metro Center
(12th & H, NW) and the JW Marriott (14th & Pennsylvania, NW). Also enter
to win one of two great prizes: A 3-Night Weekend Stay at the San
Francisco Marriott including roundtrip airfare courtesy of Continental Airlines
or a One-Night Weekend Stay at the Boston Marriott Copley Place.  ABC 7’s Cynne
Simpson and Caroline Lyders and DC Council members will be serving pie.

Dining in DC and fellow food bloggers and friends are
working hard to help raise money for
Food & Friends’ Slice of Life

the only area pie sale allowing you to purchase your Thanksgiving pies while making
an impact in the lives of thousands in need in your community. The third annual
large-scale bake sale not only allows you to purchase pies for you and your family,
but also to complement the full Thanksgiving meals our clients will receive by purchasing
a pie, or two, to be delivered with their holiday meal. To purchase your pies, visit
 our sales
team page
. Donations welcome!
