New Weekly Feature Lineup

Now on Dining in DC  readers can expect (and look forward to) the following weekly features and highlights:

Monday: Favorite Dish Spotlight – a brief write-up of my favorite dish from the previous week (Saturday to Sunday) and may include restaurant information, photos, recipes, Chef Q&A — as much description as I can provide, as if you were there and tasted it yourself. Feel free to write in and tell me about your favorite dish of the week or leave comments on my posting.

Yannick Cam Le ParadouTuesday: Restaurant announcements, such as openings and closings as well as restaurants coming soon. News could come from anywhere, such as Twitter, Facebook, other food blogs, etc. If you have news, feel free to write in. For example:

  • Masa 14 finally opens on Monday! See here
  • Heather Freeman PR announces the opening of the new Kellari Taverna – serving authentic Greek fare and fresh-from-the Mediterranean fish to Washingtonians at 1700 K Street NW. www.kellaridc.com
  • Daily Candy reports about a New Coffee shop coming to town: Tynan Coffee & Tea  located at 1400 Irving St NW.
  • Sweetgreen plans to open a new location at 15th and P St. Next to the existing Lululemon. Slated to open early 2010. Those Georgetown boys are busy …

  • Georgetown Cupcake is moving to a roomier, more central Gtown location at 33/M Sts. + opening in Bethesda.

Pie Chart 3Wednesday: Slice of Life campaign updates. How the Food Bloggers Unite for a Cause sales team and friends are doing with reaching our sales goals including a new spiffy “pie chart” (Thanks Ben). So far, to date, we have raised $335 with a $2,700 goal. For more info. See badge on Home page.

Thursday: Dining in DC To Do List:  My compilation of various restaurant events, Taste of …, foodie lovers events, food-related charity events, classes and opportunities throughout the DC Washington Metropolitan area for the weekend or upcoming weeks.

Friday: Chef announcements – changes in the back of the house. New chefs coming and going, etc.
