Clarendon Day


This Saturday, thousands of Washingtonian area food and music lovers of all ages will participate in the  12th Annual Clarendon Day, an event celebrating Arlington’s original downtown. The festival, to be held rain or shine on September 26 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., will have activities for adults and children.  

Pacers Running Stores is kicking off the day at 9 a.m. as hundreds of runners compete in the Inaugural Clarendon Day Run. After the run, area chefs, musicians, artisans and families will take to Wilson and Clarendon boulevards to enjoy:

  • MUSIC on two stages emceed by Remy Munasifi, also known as GoRemy on YouTube and performer of “Arlington: The Rap;”
  • MAGIC and puppet shows on the Kinderhaus Kids’ Stage; 
  • PET adoption tips and the Doggy Splash Pool sponsored by Homeward Trails Animal Rescue;
  •  ART from more than 40 jewelry, photography, clothing and other vendors,
  • FOOD from more than 15 restaurants. Participating restaurants include:

    • Earl’s Sandwiches
    • Kabob Bazaar
    • Mac’s
    • La Tasca
    • Mexicali Blues
    • Ragtime

    • Willow

Susan Anderson, executive director for the Clarendon Alliance and chief planner for the event, said, “Residents of our community and the Washingtonians who frequently visit Clarendon for the multitude of food choices, eclectic shops and activities it offers know that it’s a great place to live, shop and work.
